All the links in this post will go directly to the content of the person I am interviewing! Please explore their content and follow along through their various sites, shops, and emails for more amazing patterns and more!

If you click any of the photos it will take you directly to that pattern or product!

When did you start crocheting/knitting, and why?

I learned 30+ years ago around 10 years old during one of my summers in Houston with my Dad. In brief, I made friends with a girl my age whose grandma taught me. I still have the first little rainbow blanket with fringe I made. I’ve been crocheting on and off ever since.

What are your favorite items to create and why?

I like creating bags, especially market bags because they are so useful, reusable, and fashionable.

Tell us about a design you are particularly proud of, and what sets it apart from the crowd?

I am proud of my first beanie design I made this year in honor of a friend who passed away and 50% of the proceeds go to an organization in his honor.”

Will you show us your contribution to the December MAL?

(I absolutely love this design!!! the texture and color combo is everything!!!)

Tell us a few features of this design and what you love about it?

“The Love on Me Lapghan is made up of basically two stitches – double crochet (with a little twist) and herringbone single crochet. Both allow the lapghan to look great from either side. I love that it works up quickly, the size can be customized, and it is so warm and squishy. You can make it in one color or as colorful as you want!”

Do you make other things besides yarn art? What are your hobbies or other products in your business?

“I also make jewelry. Primarily beaded stretch bracelets.

Tell me something about you that you want other people to know, or that you wish more people understood?

NaRose Designs is a combination of my name, Naana, and my mom’s name, Rose. I did not have as much time with her as I would have liked, but I do believe (and to some extent know) that she was a creative person. That is why I use the hashtag #mothersdreamdaughtersreality. I believe she would be proud.

Will you show us a few things you have designed or made?

Make sure you give Naana a follow on IG!
